My daughter was struggling to memorize her Surahs. No matter how long I would sit with her to practice them, it just wouldn't stick. We'd both get frustrated and I didn't want her to have this negative experience learning the Quran. I realized that since she's a visual learner and can read a few Arabic words, if she was able to read the Surahs on her own then it would help her to memorize them. I bought the Kiitab pen and Juz Amma book, and mashallah she was able to memorize Surah al-Masad in half an hour. I highly recommend ordering this if your children struggle learning their Surahs.
