About the Author
Maryam Yousaf is a Scottish-Pakistani author whose goal is to change the world one book at a time. She writes to inspire children from diverse backgrounds to believe in themselves, dream big and strive to be their very best. She believes children should be reflected in the books they read in terms of their faith, race, and abilities, which is why she is intentional about representing as many people as possible. She strives to portray a true representation of the richness of the Muslim faith by promoting peace and unity and addressing Islamophobia through storytelling.
She is a blogger on Instagram, by the name of @MuslimaToday and is passionate about making a positive difference in her community both online, as well as offline through her mobile library service and book club.
Maryam is a wife and mother to four brave hearts who inspire her every day. She enjoys going for morning walks by the beach, baking with her children, and finding beauty in the simple things in life.
